The Houston Automotive Modelers Society (HAMS) is a diverse group of individuals in the Houston, Texas, area who enjoy the hobby of building model cars, trucks and motorcycles. We meet on the second Friday each month in the Tracy Gee Community Center at 7 PM. The club was founded in the mid 1980s and is a member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).

Some numbers from our recent show/contest. We had 35 contestants and 216 models on the tables.

Another one in the book. For a new location and the Texas heat the HAMS show/contest today was well attended with very good entries. The vendor area had a good selection of new and vintage kits to look through. Bravo Zulu HAMS!!

Just back from CALMEX 36 put on by IPMS Swamp. A great show and contest held in a nice facility. The contest room was roomy and lighting was as perfect as could be for judging. Speaking of that, the caliber of the entries made it a challenge to separate the winners. Thank you Swamp.

IPMS-Houston had a very good show today. Display room was full of really good builds in all categories. And if you couldn't find an interesting kit in the vendor room you weren't looking very hard. In closing, everyone appeared to be enjoying the show and the opportunity to visit with old friends and make new ones. A big hand to those that brought it all together 👏
