2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport 🦖. . . this one got towed in on a clutch that just quit. Owner did his own clutch job a while ago, but he could never get the hydraulics to bleed right. It drove fine until his son was in stop-and-go traffic, heard a pop, and after that it wouldn't pull at all. The pedal still had pressure, no fluid on the ground, no burnt smell. We put it on a Level 2 diagnostic and the clutch hydraulics are done, so here's what we're doing: a full clutch job with a new Sachs clutch kit and a LuK flywheel, plus new clutch master and slave cylinders so it's bled right and solid this time. While it's apart we're freshening the whole driveline — front and rear diff, transfer case, a grease job, coolant, power steering and brake fluid all done. This Jeep's gonna shift like it should again.

Heritage Edition 200 series 🏆 this one's a regular, and we actually ran out and picked it up from his place for the visit. Came in for an oil change, tire rotation and a fluid check, but while it was on the rack the inspection caught a couple things worth doing: the front upper ball joints had play in them, and the rear brakes were getting thin. So here's the plan we're knocking out: a set of Dobinsons upper control arms up front with an alignment to set it back to spec, and fresh PowerStop Z36 ceramic pads and rotors on the rear. Parts are in and it's in line in the bay. Keep a 200 maintained like this and it'll run forever

Happy Monday folks ☕️ What better way to start off the work week than a well built work truck. This 2021 Tundra with 262K miles on it works for a living. Owner brought it in with a list. First the brakes: he's running an aftermarket big brake kit with a vibration that gets worse the hotter the brakes get. We pulled a caliper and rotor and found the slotted rotors are directional and they're mounted on the wrong sides... slots running backwards...which'll cause exactly that. Second, a power steering whine and a leak, and we found both hoses off the reservoir seeping, so it's down for a new reservoir and lines. Third, a rough idle with an intermittent check engine light and a cylinder eight misfire, plus he's got an aftermarket air injection delete he was worried about. We watched live data on a test drive, couldn't get the misfire to repeat and the fuel trims read dead normal, so that kit's not causing a vacuum leak — we're starting with fresh DENSO iridium plugs and a BG 44K fuel system service.

Silver FJ with the 4.0. Our client brought it in with an interesting sound: a noise in the front end that only showed up in 4x4 but went away the second he dropped back to two-wheel 🤔 kind of an air-leaking sound the whole way from zero to fifty. So we ran a Level 2 diagnostic and tracked it to the left front; excessive play in the CV axle and a worn needle bearing in the front diff. Pulled the axle, put in a new needle bearing and oil seal with genuine Toyota parts, and buttoned it back up. Since the driveline was overdue we refreshed the whole thing while we were under there...front and rear diff, transfer case, transmission fluid, coolant and brake fluid all drained and filled — and wired in an HID kit to brighten up the headlights. That's how you keep an FJ right.

Clean 200 with the 5.7 💪 this one rolled in at 273K miles running rough, misfire codes on cylinders two, six and eight with a system-too-lean code stacked on top. Owner had already thrown parts at it: new MAF, new PCV, even swapped some EVAP hoses himself, but it still ran bad. So we didn't guess, we put it on a Level 2 diagnostic and found the real problem: fuel pressure was way low, should be sitting at 41 PSI, and it wasn't making it. Dropped in a genuine Toyota fuel pump assembly and that lean misfire cleaned right up. While we were in there we knocked out the classic 200-series coolant valley leak; pulled the intake, resealed the heat exchanger with a fresh gasket set and Toyota coolant. Also, we flushed the brake fluid since it came back low and dark. 273K miles and this Cruiser's running honest again.
