Bring us the building material that is too good to throw away but not good enough to keep. We give all of the material to 501c3 non-profit organizations.

The Reuse Warehouse for Building Materials celebrates it's 15th Anniversary today. Since 2009, you, non-profit organizations, and the City of Houston Department of Solid Waste City of Houston Solid Waste Management have collaborated to divert nearly 7,700 tons of reusable materials from landfills. That equals the weight of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Yee Haw!

When Was Waste? Find out tomorrow for free at Rice.
On Friday, December 7th, this year’s Rice Seminar—”Waste: Histories and Futures”—will hold its first of three symposia, “When Was Waste?” Sponsored by Rice University’s Humanities Research Center and CENHS, and in collaboration with the Moody Center for the Arts, the symposium will feature a diverse range of speakers, concluding with a keynote by Michael Marder, author of Energy Dreams: Of Actuality (Columbia UP, 2017).

All of us at the Reuse Warehouse program are pleased to be participating in the International Interior Design Association, Texas/Oklahoma Chapter, Zero Landfill Event for the 2nd time. High quality material samples will be diverted from landfills and freely distributed to teachers, students, other non-profit organizations, and the general public, including residents rebuilding from last year's floods.
