Throwback to Babes Ride Out ™’s last Central Coast campout. 🏍️🤍 I decided to head out there solo, and BMW Motorrad USA loaned me a bike for the trip while I was an ambassador with them at the time — and, of course, I was wearing my Dickies and Scorpion EXO | Helmets & Riding Gear.✨

I commented on the Babes Ride Out page that I was coming in solo, and Hanna responded. 🙌 We ended up riding in together (and yes, I forgot my gloves 😂), camped in the solo riders section, and by the end of the weekend, every one of my neighbors had become a friend.

Nobody there knew how much I was carrying during that season of my life. I needed those women. I needed those rides. For a few days, it was just the road, the coast, and an amazing group of women who started as strangers and left feeling like family. They’ll forever have a place in my heart. 🤍 Somewhere on those roads, I remembered who I am. I’m a builder. I’m a rider. And I’m stronger than whatever is pulling at me.

So if you’re nervous about riding into an event solo, do it anyway. Drop a comment on the event page, connect with another solo rider, and camp with the solo crew.

You won’t be alone for long. 🏍️🤍

You know what I think?

Life gives each of us our own map and our own journey. It gets quieter when you keep your eyes on the prize (for me, that’s creating with my hands) and just keep moving. You learn real fast that sometimes figuring out what not to do is exactly how you end up making something that actually works 😜

The lift broke, so Brad had to come off. Silver lining: it gave me time to double-check axle spacing, tire rotation, and the placement of the new caliper brackets. I am considering going back to the original Honda drum brakes and saving this setup for another build… but before bailing, I’m giving it a real shot and try finish this brake conversion—and of course I’m fixing my lift 🤓🤘

Damn grateful for my hands and to have a curious mind that drives me to learn more about my tools at the shop, the tools in life.

Creating something that was in my head into a tangible piece is some sort of magical satisfaction I am so humble to experience in my little shop... something I experienced in a computer has become into something more fun.

I’ve been doing a LOT more road trips and camping lately, and I’m slowly figuring out what makes life on the road easier. 🏕️🛻

Good coffee wherever I land, my pups along for the ride, a rooftop tent, Pro Power Onboard for all the things I probably shouldn’t need while camping 😂, BlueCruise for those long highway stretches, and enough storage to basically turn my truck into a closet on wheels.

But my favorite part? Being able to pull into a new place, set up camp, and call it home for the night.
