The Boss 302 and CJ intake doesn’t magically make more power, it moves the torque curve higher in the RPM range by shortening the intake runners. You gain top-end horsepower but sacrifice some low-end torque.

Ford intentionally designed the factory Coyote exhaust manifolds with unequal runner lengths for packaging and cost. Despite that, they still flow remarkably well and support over 500 hp naturally aspirated and much more with boost.
