UPDATE: After Comcast swapped out their devices yesterday (12/13/25), channel 31 and 60 were both playing the same channel: NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus. As of now, channel 31 should be displaying the correct channel: NBC Sports Philadelphia. There should be no need to auto program your tvs at this time, as the channel lineup remains the same.

Comcast is here changing their devices. If all goes according to plan the Phillies game on NBC Sports should be available for tonight. Once the Cable TV is back online it will take some time for all of the channels to be available and clear. You may notice the picture ‘flashing’ over the next 24 hours while the new devices finish updating their firmware.

Once the new device is online the channel lineup for the campground could change. If it does this new lineup will be posted once it is available. It is recommended to auto program your TVs so that the updated channel lineup is available on your TVs.h

To All Campers:

WELCOME BACK! Less than one week until the 2024 season opening day! Please note the following upon arrival:

- The gates will be closed this Friday, Saturday, Sunday (5/10-5/12) for Mother’s Day weekend.

- Opening week office hours will be:

Wednesday May 15th 8AM to 4PM
Thursday May 16th 8AM to 4PM
Friday May 17th from 8AM to 10PM
Saturday May 18th from 8AM to 7PM
Sunday May 19th from 8AM to 6PM

- Entrance gates will be closed all weekend.

- NEW for 2024: Upon arrival use the call box at the entrance gate (call box button has been moved to the same location where you use your gate card, it is no longer located at the box near the guard house).

- After buzzing the gate, go directly to the office to pick up your gate cards.

- Please be sure that you have signed and turned in all of the necessary paperwork prior to arrival to speed up the process of checking in.

To all Shellbay Campers:

The 2021 Cancer Fair will be held on Saturday August 21st 2021 at 10:00AM under an updated format. There will be no games or food. The chance tables will be set up outside in front of the store. If you would like to donate a basket, etc., please make sure it is dropped off at the office by Friday August 20th. As usual, this is a voluntary event.

The winning ticket numbers for all items will be drawn at 6PM on Saturday. This will be held outside at the pool area. You may bring a chair if you like. If you have any questions please contact the office.

UPDATE - May 27 - fire restrictions have been lifted.

Beginning today the campground has fire restrictions until further notice. See below for more info.

UPDATE - May 24 - Cape May County is now also included in Stage 3 fire restrictions.

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service has implemented stage 3 fire restrictions for our Division B & C coverage areas beginning 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 19.

Stage 3 Fire Restrictions:
🚫🔥All fires in wooded areas will be prohibited unless contained in an elevated stove using only propane, natural gas, gas, or electricity.
🚫🔥No charcoal fires are allowed.
🚫🔥No agricultural burning.

Division B is - Burlington County, Monmouth County, Ocean County, Middlesex County (south of the Raritan River), Mercer County except Hopewell Township

Division C is - Atlantic County, Cape May County, Camden County, Cumberland County, Gloucester County, Salem County

At this time, the television cable system in the park is the same as last season. As usual, this service is included in your site rate.

New this season is Verizon (Fios) telephone, television, and/or internet available right at your site. These services are not included in the site rate. Anyone that would like to come up to the recreation hall to shelter from this storm is more than welcome. The recreation hall doors are currently open.
