Jimmy's Towing & Recovery, LLC. was dispatched to a major crash in Houma, where we responded alongside the local fire department, Louisiana State Police, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Entergy.

Upon arrival, we found a passenger vehicle that had left the roadway, traveled into the front yard of a residence, and collided with a utility pole with enough force to snap it in half. The vehicle remained resting on its side against the broken pole, suspended beneath multiple electrical lines, creating a highly technical recovery.

Before a single cable was attached, our operators carefully evaluated the scene and developed a solid recovery plan that would safely extract the vehicle while focusing to protect the damaged utility infrastructure from any additional stress.

Once Entergy confirmed the scene was de-energized, our crew very carefully winched the vehicle away from the broken pole, recovered it back onto the roadway, completed a thorough cleanup of the crash scene, and safely loaded it onto one of our flatbeds for transport to our facility, where it will remain pending insurance inspection.

We were dispatched to Gibson, Louisiana, for a vehicle that had left the roadway and ended up in a pretty large ditch. Upon arrival, our operator carefully assessed the situation, properly rigged the Ford Mustang for recovery, and safely winched it back onto the roadway without causing any additional damage.

Once recovered, the vehicle was then loaded onto one of our flatbeds and transported to the customer’s residence per their request.

We were dispatched to a rollover in the middle of the night involving a pickup truck with a camper top that had left the highway and come to rest on its side near the Dularge bridge in Houma. Upon arrival, we found the camper top had completely separated from the truck during the accident and was lying on its side nearby.

Our team safely uprighted both the truck and the camper top before winching the truck back onto the roadway. We then loaded the camper top onto our flatbed, hooked up the truck with our wheel lift, and once everything was strapped and chained down both were transported both back to our facility via one flatbed.

Once at the yard, we unloaded the truck and carefully reloaded the camper top back onto the vehicle so everything would remain together for the owner and insurance process.

No matter how challenging the recovery, we’re equipped to handle it safely and efficiently.

Last night, we were dispatched after a vehicle lost control and its boat came off its trailer and ended up in the grass alongside the highway. Our crew safely recovered the vehicle and boat from the field, winched the boat onto our flatbed, and carefully reloaded it onto its trailer before getting everything secured for transport and towed to our facility.

High winds from Tropical Storm Arthur laid this 53’ cargo trailer on its side in East Houma.

This recovery started the night before when our crew was dispatched to a vehicle that was completely submerged in a local bayou. After assessing the scene, we suspended search efforts due to poor nighttime conditions and very limited visibility.

Back on scene first thing this morning, our crew had searched and located the vehicle submerged in 12+ feet of water sitting more than 125 feet from the bank. The vehicle was then rigged for recovery, winched back onto the roadway, loaded onto a flatbed, and transported to our facility.

Proud of our crew for their determination, and commitment to getting the job done safely.
