So many of our professional Undercoaters publish valuable and informative videos, only to be met with inaccurate (and some nasty) comments from people that do not understand what an undercoating is or does. You see comments like “you can’t paint over rust”, “you have to sandblast and remove all rust”, “what about the insides?” And on and on.
They do not understand that Woolwax is not a paint. It is a corrosion inhibiting coating designed to go over surface rust. That’s what it does, and it works extremely well.
I saw a response post from Dana at Campbell's Coating that was probably the best and most articulate explanation I have ever read about what a Woolwax treatment actually is accomplishing. I copied and pasted it below and hopefully it is readable.
