Some projects are worth the extra time. 💯

After a summer-long rebuild, this John Deere 4650 is ready to get back to work. Harvard technician Eric Luehrmann upgraded major transmission and rear-end components with 55 Series parts and completed a full inspection along the way.

Congratulations, Bruce Oldfather, on your retirement! After more than 23 years with AHW, Bruce is officially hanging up the keys and beginning a well-earned retirement.

As a member of our fleet team, Bruce spent more than two decades safely hauling equipment across the region, logging over one million miles along the way. While customers often remember the excitement of receiving a new machine, it's easy to overlook the dedicated drivers who make those deliveries happen. Through rain, snow, road construction, tight farm drives, and countless early mornings, Bruce has always been there to get the job done.

Among Bruce's proudest accomplishments was reaching the million-mile milestone, an achievement he said meant even more because he shared it alongside three fellow AHW drivers. But the miles tell only part of the story. Bruce reflected that "the knowledge I have accumulated over my years is unimaginable," and shared that one of his greatest rewards was helping train a young driver and watching him grow and succeed. In many ways, the experience, guidance, and friendships he leaves behind are just as meaningful as the miles he traveled.

After spending enough years behind the wheel to probably know every back road, rough railroad crossing, road construction detour, and decent truck stop in the Midwest, Bruce leaves behind a legacy of hard work, teamwork, and service. The equipment may have carried the green and yellow paint, but Bruce was one of the people making sure it arrived where it needed to be, day after day, year after year.

Looking back on his career, Bruce shared, "It was an honor and privilege to work with a fantastic company." We are grateful for the countless miles he traveled, the customers he served, the employees he supported, and the friendships he built along the way. Congratulations, Bruce!

The most important thing coming out of the field this fall isn't the crop. It's the people.

The farmers, operators, and crews working long days and late nights through harvest all have someone waiting for them at home.

When you encounter farm equipment on the road, slow down. Be patient. Pass only when it's safe. Because getting there a few minutes sooner isn't worth risking someone's trip home.
