As we count down to Indy Airstrip Attack 2026 | Shift-S3ctor Half Mile Championship, presented by Indiana Corn Marketing Council and First Farmers Bank & Trust , we’re looking back at one of the standout runs from the runway.

Greg Ibsen laid down an incredible 231.96 MPH in his 2006 Chevrolet Corvette, proving once again what determination and horsepower can accomplish.

Greg may no longer be with us, but his passion for speed and his place in the Shift-S3ctor community will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Greg. ❤️

In 2025, Brian Ruiz and the Underground Racing team rewrote the record books at Indy Airstrip Attack with a blistering 259.82 MPH standing half-mile pass in their Audi R8.

The record still stands today.

With the fastest cars in the world returning to Marion this August, the question is simple:
