Bring the whole family to the Oak Forest Park District on Thursday, July 23, from 6:00–8:00 PM for an evening packed with hands-on fun! Kids can climb aboard garbage trucks, police vehicles, construction equipment, and more while meeting the people who help keep our communities moving every day.

Be sure to stop by and say hello to our driver — Wendy the Waste Truck will be there with coloring books ready for the kids! We can’t wait to see you there! 🚚✨

Did you know that v**e devices and e-cigarettes contain lithium-ion batteries? These batteries can spark, catch fire, or even explode when damaged in garbage trucks, recycling facilities, or waste containers.

✅ Remove the battery if possible.
✅ Take batteries and v**e devices to an approved collection site.
✅ Follow local guidelines for proper disposal.

A single battery tossed in the wrong place can put drivers, equipment, and facilities at risk.
