91 octane fuel is available at the marina, 7am–5:45pm through the month of August.

🍽️ Chambers Landing Tahoe (Homewood) - the oldest bar on Lake Tahoe, dating back to 1875. Dock right at the pier, grab a Chambers Punch, and soak in unobstructed lake views. Historic charm, lively summer scene. A favorite among boaters.
🍽️ Za's Lakefront (North Shore) - This local North Tahoe favorite pairs delicious pizzas and Italian-American classics with a relaxed, mountain-casual vibe right along the shoreline.
🍽️ Gar Woods Lake Tahoe (Carnelian Bay) - a waterfront staple since 1988, known for its expansive deck and bay windows overlooking the lake and Sierras. A favorite for Sunday brunch.

Let's talk life jackets. You already know you need a US Coast Guard-approved PFD (personal flotation device) for every person on board your vessel - it's the law. But did you know:

✅ Fit matters as much as type. A properly fitted PFD should be snug enough that it doesn't ride up over your chin or ears when you're floating.
✅ Children under 13 are required by California law to wear a PFD while the vessel is underway (exceptions apply if they're in an enclosed cabin).
✅ Foam-filled life jackets or buoyancy aids should be tested for wear and buoyancy at least once a year. Waterlogged, faded, or otherwise damaged devices should be discarded.
✅ Check the label, not just the color. Type I, II, III, and V PFDs each have different intended uses - Type III is common for general boating and watersports, while Type I is best for open, rough, or remote water where rescue may be delayed.
✅ Keep them accessible, not stowed away. PFDs stored in a locked cabinet or buried under gear don't count as "readily accessible" under California law.
✅ Boats 16 feet or longer also need at least one throwable flotation device - like a ring buoy - in addition to wearable PFDs for everyone on board.

🌊 Join our partner Superior Boat Repair & Sales for the 3rd Annual Foil to the Bay on Wednesday, August 19! This 30-mile round-trip excursion starts from the Homewood Lake Club and foils all of the way to Emerald Bay Cove.

📆 Wednesday, August 19, 2026 | Noon – 2 PM
📍 Launching from Homewood Lake Club (West Shore Cafe, right next to the Marina)
🛥️ Two Barletta Boats Pontoons will be on-site to transport your gear and spare batteries (we highly recommend bringing an extra!).

Rent a buoy for the event weekend! Or heck - even for a couple of hours!
🌊 Overnight or Multi-Day Buoy & Dry Rack Storage: Enjoy ease of lake access during the entire show.
🌊 Hourly Buoy Rental: An hourly rental allows you to boat to the show. Tie up to one of our buoys for a few hours, check out the wooden boats, and boat on back to your hub.
