Built in Homer, Alaska, the Áak'w Tide is an 80-foot aluminum catamaran engineered for passenger transportation in Southeast Alaska. Designed around the demands of Alaska’s coastal waters, the vessel combines speed, capacity, maneuverability, and operational versatility.
Powered by four 800-horsepower Scania diesel engines paired with Hamilton water jets, the Áak'w Tide has a cruise speed of 25 knots. The vessel carries 149 passengers across two enclosed levels, with an upper viewing and cargo deck, a 2,500-pound hydraulic crane, a bow beach-landing ramp, and multiple boarding points.
With Furuno electronics and Hamilton AVX vessel controls, the vessel is outfitted for precise handling and dependable operation in a challenging marine environment.
