We were the local shop discussed here. If you are experiencing any symptoms after filling with premium from this station, please let us know. For the first client we needed to drain the tank, change the oil, add some fuel tank water remover(methanol), and add new fuel, along with some data monitoring and some driving.

The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services found contaminated fuel at the Valero station in Holly Springs, located at 601 N Main St., after the department received two customer complaints.

🌡️Automotive A/C Summer Tips From 55 Auto Works ❄️

This is my personal vehicle, and after recently locating and repairing a few refrigerant leaks, it's now producing nearly a 40°F difference between the outside air temperature and the air coming from the center vents. On a hot day, a few simple habits can make a huge difference in how quickly your car cools down.

Here are my top summer A/C tips:

âś… When you first start the car, use outside air (recirculation OFF) for the first minute or so. This helps flush the superheated air out of the cabin much faster. After that, switch to recirculate to cool the interior more efficiently.

âś… Once you're driving, use:
• Fan speed on HIGH
• Temperature set to COLDEST
• MAX A/C mode if your vehicle has it
• My personal preference is to use the face vents only. This increases the airspeed hitting your upper body, where you'll feel the cooling the most, and I find it also does a better job of distributing cold air throughout the cabin, including to the rear seats.

đźš« Skip the AUTO setting when you're trying to cool a hot vehicle as quickly as possible.

âś… If your vehicle has rear A/C, turn it on high, even if no one is sitting in the back. The rear evaporator helps remove heat from the entire cabin faster.

âś… Park in the shade whenever possible and use a reflective windshield sunshade. Keeping the interior cooler means:
• Faster cool-down times
• Less heat stored in the dashboard, seats, and trim
• Cooler surfaces to touch
• Better long-term protection for your interior from sun damage

It's hot out there, but a few small changes can drastically improve your comfort this summer.

If your A/C isn't performing like it should, I specialize in advanced automotive A/C diagnostics. From hard-to-find refrigerant leaks to electrical circuit faults, variable displacement compressor issues, and refrigerant flow or performance problems, I have the tools and experience to diagnose the problem accurately.

Headgasket failure confirmed unfortunately. This is modern diagnostics. While I was doing this our new guy said he had never seen anyone test for a headgasket failure this way. I am always trying to stay ahead of the curve with advanced testing to be more accurate and efficient.

Component testing to prove failure. Thats what we do. Unfortunately a speed sensor was already replaced and that wasn't the repair needed. See my second comment for another video of my on vehicle testing of the speed sensor showing it is ok.

Crazy good cooling.

Codes but no parts required to fix? The parts store would have sold you a sensor.

Testing is crucial. Understanding the system is crucial. Elsewhere: 2 starters, 1 ignition switch, 1 ignition cylinder replaced.

The ONLY problem? A bad connection that we repaired in half an hour.

Reading codes and buying parts would have someone thinking they need to replace the $550 evap canister for this code. They would then go to do the replacement and find this damaged wiring. Codes are not part numbers. This is what we do during the testing phase of your vehicle's visit
