• Can your car’s wheel handle acid?

•Some wheels finishes are not meant to handle the chemicals used at most car washes and some detail shops.

•Most Carwashes and Shops utilize Acid and Degreasers to clean your wheels and sometimes paint. Using wheel acid is common practice and completely safe when done right! With that being said, it should not be used on every wheel or every car.

•This is , and his wheels in particular, never recommend acid.

•These were cleaned with a diluted alkaline degreaser on wet wheels and tires dressed with a water based tire shine.
