Happy day! I actually got something from the body shop when the said I would. Well, kind of. Anyway, I think it came out pretty darn good. You might notice the car is on 4 pad scales. Any guesses? PRHT, Supercharged LS3, RX8 sport brakes(heavy), Intercooler filled with water up front, big trunk mounted battery and a roll bar. Winner gets absolutely nothing except the warm fuzzy of being smart!

NC Miata PRHT Supercharged 6.2 has been in the shop wayyyyy to long! The end is in sight though. It has a 6.2 liter with forged internals and a custom ground Cam Motion cam. 9.5 to 1 compression with a Magnuson Supercharger pullied for 12 psi. It uses an AEM ecu, mainly so we could enable traction control. We got all the stock (RX8) wheel speed sensors talking to the AEM processor. Using an early RX8 non dsc abs module we are able to have functional abs. Our V8 Roadster cluster commander lets the aem run all the stock Miata Gauges like, well, stock. It also makes the power retractable hard top work flawlessly. Hats off to our programmer David for the countless hours. Ohlin shocks all around, RX8 sport brakes and all RX8 suspension bits, hubs and uprights. All conversion pieces are V8 Roadster, of course. The hood is all aluminum with 40 hours of block sanding. Hoping to finish the tune tomorrow and get it on the dyno next week. Expecting 600 to 650 at the tires if all goes well. There are a brazillion hours in this build but really added to our capabilities and data base.
One is bone stock. One is supposed to look stock but packs a 430hp V8 punch!
NA or NB? V8 or V6? 6 speed manual or 6 speed auto with paddles? First V6 ND going under the knife now. If you can dream it, we can build it!
I've been building this one for awhile. 2007 NC LS3 with forged internals. AEM stand alone engine management. Hood is already built to clear everything. First start. Hoping to have traction and launch control working soon.
So you have an NB with an LFX V6 and 6L50e automatic and you really want to be able to enable paddle control. What do you do? Bring it to V8R. NC wheel fully paddle enable with Camaro floor shifter to get the extra detent you need. Change some resistors around, know which wires to modify and you're done. Really like the stock look. We can now do paddle shifted automatics in all generation Miatas (except ND) and make it look stock!

All stock gauges fully functional. Exhaust is super quiet. This car is a sleeper. Freshly upholstered Mazdaspeed leather seats. New Robbins top with glass rear window and defrost. 73k on car and 9k since conversion. 1/2 life on Nitto tires. The clear coat is starting to haze. That is the only thing this car needs. Exceptional in every way. I have hundreds of pictures of the entire build. No tire kickers. No free rides. No scammers. Will consider 2006-2007 NC Miata as partial trade. Auto ok. Just did 1200 mile trip to Miata's at the Gap in Tennessee. Did not burn a drop of oil and averaged 26 mpg!

Sorry for lack of posting. The shop is incredibly busy. Finishing touches on the RX8/LFX V6 automatic set up for track days.All the stock gauges function. Stock shifter runs the GM transmission and even gets manual mode. Last thing to sort out is tap up/tap down. In the E39a pcm it is a canbus function and we have it very close to working. That will also enable auto rev match on downshifts.
A little tease on something we have been holding back due to big vendor set backs. How about a track ready RX8 LFX 3.6 running through a paddle shifted 6 speed auto with all the functionality of a 2015 Camaro? Autoblip downshifts included. 8.8 rear end and sport suspension. Back half cage. Sparco seats and harnesses. We got it moving under it's own power yesterday!! Things will move quickly now.

Heading in to finish up "The Beast" Don's 2011 NC with an LS3 and 6L80e six speed automatic PRHT is turning out to be something special! We have the stock dash and PRHT all functioning as they should. Ice cold a/c was finalized yesterday. It's been to the dyno (406/398) and will get aligned tomorrow. Today I will be integrating Dakota cruise control into the package. This is a fully equipped car!

Dons 2011 Miata went to the dyno yesterday. Fresh engine with less than50 miles.95 degree ambient. 6L80 transmission and Camaro SS American Axle rear differential. GM Performance 495hp crate engine. Why an automatic? Videos soon and you will see why!! Crappy upload but ended up at 406hp and 398 lb/ft at the tires!!

We're pretty sure "unique" sums up this 1970's Toyota Land Cruiser that came into the shop a little while back. Right-hand drive and diesel! It needed the winch and emergency brake repaired. Note where the emergency brake is located - on the between the transfer case and drive shaft!
