⚡ Bonneville: The Work Continues
We have just completed our latest land-speed attempt at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
First and foremost, our deepest thanks go to our rider, Rennie Scaysbrook. His professionalism, extraordinary skill, and commitment were invaluable.
Our sincere thanks also go to CBMM Their support helped Lightning develop the engineering behind our current generation of land-speed motorcycles. We also extend our appreciation to our other partners—Corbin, Hayes, Omni, and Revchem. None of this would be possible without their support.
A very special thank-you goes to Alan Smith and Dustin at DelasFab for their extraordinary contributions to building and preparing our race bike.
We also want to thank all the amazing Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials volunteers and organizers. Their dedication, experience, and hard work made this event possible for every team and rider on the salt.
We are deeply grateful to the entire Lightning team for their tireless effort, long hours, and determination throughout this program.
Although we did not achieve our target speed on this attempt, the week provided valuable data demonstrating that this motorcycle has the capability to exceed 250 mph.
At Bonneville, you are not simply competing against the other riders there that day. You are competing against the fastest rider in the history of your class. Every run is a learning opportunity, moving us one step closer to doing what has never been done before.
The Lightning team is already gearing up to refine the engineering and prepare for our return to the salt.
We will be back. ⚡
