All you need is a refrigerator, tv, stereo, and chairs.
The garage wasn't just where cars got fixed.
It was where friendships got built.
Nobody texted, "Be there in five."
People just showed up.
The radio was always on.
The tool chest was always open.
There was always somebody under the hood pretending they knew exactly what they were doing.
Somebody else was handing over the wrong wrench.
And somehow, after four hours of "working on it," the car was only slightly closer to running.
Nobody cared.
Because fixing the car was only half the reason everyone was there.
The real reason was the conversations.
The jokes.
The advice.
The stories that somehow got better every time they were told.
Long before people escaped to a finished basement or a home theater...
The garage was where life happened.
Greasy hands.
Cold drinks.
Good friends.
Looking back, it turns out those Saturdays were never really about the car at all.
