Small cracks or chips in your windshield can often be easily repaired with a special type of resin. By removing air and injecting resin into the chip, you’ll seal out air and debris to prevent further damage and make it safe to drive.

Prompt repair of windshield chips is always advisable. According to studies, chips were 80 percent more likely to spread at temperatures of 14 degrees Fahrenheit. This is because, in cold weather conditions, windshields bend into a more concave shape, putting added pressure on the glass.

What’s a floater crack? It’s a crack that occurs in the middle portion of the windshield, and which starts and ends at least two inches from the windshield edge. With floater cracks, it’s important to deal with them right away, before they spread.
