How often should I really rotate my tires? Short answer — every 5,000-7,000 miles.

Why it actually matters:
• Your front and rear tires wear differently depending on your car (front-wheel drive especially chews through front tires faster)
• Rotating evens out that wear, so your whole set lasts longer
• You get better traction in rain or snow instead of one worn corner losing grip first
• Skip it too long and you’ll end up replacing tires in pairs way sooner than you should

Cheap to do now, expensive to ignore later.
