Zipping around Schoodic Point in sparked what would become some favorite memories... they just needed some time to air out.

We parked at this scenic view after a broken bike crashed our hopes of biking the 8 mile peninsula loop. After a few teary moments, we parked our van at this lookout.

Anyone who says vacations are all fun and games is kidding themselves. Getaways hold stress, even when the views are picture perfect. But we DID recoop from the downer by busting out our favorite card game—Dominion. Playing cards while looking over the ocean had us both on the up-and-up in no time!

BROWNIE POINT REVIEW

Stopped at a (dare I use my favorite word...) DARLING coffee shop today in Portland, ME.

Rather than giving a traditional review I thought I’d assign some brownie points that Little Woodfords won us over with.

1 point - ☕️ roasted from
1 point - waving that PRIDE flag
1 point - COVID-Safe ordering at the door
2 point - buttery & flakey cheddar biscuit (with black pepper..... ooooh, baby)!
1 point - that pink trim building!

TOTAL: 6 brownie points!

Thank you Little Woodfords for starting our day off RIGHT.

P.S. Maine in general is doing GREAT with Covid-19 Safety. They require all tourists arrive with a negative test and everyone in Maine is SO good about masking-up! Many restaurants are opting for takeout only. Which in a place as beautiful as Maine, why not? There are countless beautiful parks where one can enjoy a takeout picnic. 👏👏👏 Go Maine!!!

All outfitted and ready for an ADVENTURE.

Any Maine fans out there?

Tomorrow the new Mr. & Mrs. Poole take off for Acadia. Steve and Nancy test piloted Vara this weekend in Traverse City.

She doesn’t have all the bells and whistles yet (aka gas and heating) — BUT water is running and Vara is fully furnished. She’s more dapper than ever, folks.

Celebrated the happy marriage of our friends and this weekend. 💫 Congrats to those two radiant humans!!

Plus: Vara got to enjoy her first campsite. We took her to state park for an overnight “glamping” getaway with our pals.
