Skid School Teen Advanced Driving

Skid School Teen Advanced Driving Skid School, a service of Stevens Advanced Driver Training, provides accident avoidance training to teens and new drivers through hands on drills.

Stevens Advanced Driver Training, LLC began teaching advanced driver training skills in 1979, offering proven hands-on techniques for mastering accident avoidance and car control skills. Our training is based on belief, gained through years

of experience, that any driver can learn the kind of advanced car control techniques used by professional drivers.

We already know that texting while driving can kill you (and anyone else you happen to run into while driving distracted) -- but did you know that just plain texting can cause "horn growth" on your skull!?

A new study shows some young people are developing horn-like spikes on the back of their skulls as a result of continued smartphone use.

We recently received this amazing testimonial from a parent of two Skid School graduates:
"I wanted to extend a sincere thank you to you all for running the Skid School program, which both of my kids have completed. Since then, they have both successfully avoided potentially catastrophic accidents, including the most recent event where my 16 year old son incredibly avoided a spun out car in his lane of travel at 35 MPH, by quickly checking oncoming traffic while simultaneously applying max brake and safely steering around the car and returning to his lane of travel without incident. He was driving my Nissan Titan, which unquestionably would have done substantial damage to both the small car and its occupants had he not had the trained instincts to take the proper action. What you do saves lives and I cannot express how much I and countless other parents appreciate what you do for our young drivers!"

Next Skid School is Sunday, February 24, 9 am - 1 pm. Sign up below.

NEW! Upcoming 2019 Dates: January 6 February 24 March 17 April 7

The most deadly thing your teens will do in the next 10 years ... (this article is written for a Washington newspaper, but entirely relevant in New England as well).

Young drivers age 16 to 25 make up 13 percent of Washington’s driving population, but they’re involved in about one third of all fatal crashes in our state. Here’s how to help make them safer.

So who's accident rates are higher? Men, or women? Turns out neither. It's teens.

When we start talking about who is the riskiest on the road, it’s important to remember that the answer isn’t men or women. Well, it depends on who you ask.
