❄️ Why a Tiny Windshield Chip Grows When It Gets Cold

Ever notice how a chip you've ignored all summer suddenly turns into a crack in November? Here's why it happens.

Your windshield is made of two layers of glass with a thin layer of plastic in between. A chip breaks through the outer layer and leaves a small opening. Moisture settles into that opening, and when overnight temperatures drop below freezing, the water expands as it turns to ice. Blasting the defroster on a cold morning adds even more stress as one part of the glass heats up faster than the rest.

Fixing a chip early is quick and costs far less than a new windshield. When you're ready, we're open Monday through Friday.

🏗️ Why We Built a Bigger Shop

When we opened Moxie about four years ago, we were mostly known for glass. Over time, more of you started asking us to handle your brakes, your alignment, your farm truck and your company vans too. We ran out of room to keep up.

Our move to 611 Orchard Dr is about you. Six bays means shorter waits, more vehicles in and out each day, and room for fleet vehicles without bumping anyone else's appointment.

Thank you to everyone who kept trusting us while we grew. We have the moxie to get the job done, and now we have the space to do it too. 💙

Opening day is TOMORROW!! 🥹🔧✨

This is where we’re at as of 1:06 today.

Do we have a floor? No. 😂
Will we have a floor by tomorrow morning? ABSOLUTELY.

At this point, I’ve learned not to ask too many questions. Just keep moving, keep building, and trust that somehow it all comes together. 😂

Tomorrow we open the doors to our NEW Moxie home, and I can hardly wait. 💛

It won’t be perfectly finished. There will probably still be a tool, a ladder, or something somewhere it shouldn’t be. But it’s ours, we worked our tails off for it, and it’s going to be GREAT.

One more sleep. Let’s do this. 💛🔧🚗

Dalke Construction came in and gave our new parking lot a much-needed glow-up. 😂🙌

Nothing says “we’re really moving!” quite like a freshly graded lot!

Every day our new Moxie home is looking a little more like HOME. 💙🩷🔧

Huge thank you to Dalke Construction for getting us smoothed out and ready for all those cars we plan on filling this place with! 🚗🚙🚐

Next up… OPEN THE DOORS! 🎉

Some vehicles run on gasoline. Some run on diesel. Most auto shops run on coffee. ☕

Tell us your order. Black, cream and sugar, fancy and iced, basically dessert, or Monster Energy which absolutely counts.

Fair warning: the new waiting room at Orchard Drive has real coffee, not the gas station carafe kind.
