James Paczkowski has been in the pallet and development business in north eastern Michigan for over 30 years. He has been involved in development projects in Detroit, Alpena, and Rogers City. Jim also sat on the EDC board 35 years ago in Detroit for the Central Industrial Park Project, commonly known as the Pole Town project. It was a General Motors project that covered 465 acres. rman for the project, and helped to relocate 143 businesses and 3,438 people. He recently purchased the old Erb lumber / Stock lumber 50,000 square foot building and has transformed it into a new venue in Hillman called Patchwood Plaza which will incorporate many different businesses. is a part of Patchwood Plaza and rents out space for meetings. There are business offices for rent as well as storage spaces for items such as household goods, campers, boats, RV’s, and vehicles. You can even have a party in one of our party rooms. The business offices are starting to fill up with the Hillman Area Chamber of Commerce setting up a permeant office located in Patchwood Plaza. Patchwood Products Inc. is part of the “Made in Michigan” MMTC manufacturers directory and is also working with PTAC to employ more veterans in the local area. Our long range plan is to expand business and employ more veterans. Patchwood is registered to do business with the federal and state government. Montmorency County is a HUBzone area due to being a low income area, and Patchwood Products Inc. is in the process of obtaining its HUBzone certification. If you are looking for a place to have a meeting, party, or event, stop by and take a look at our rooms. It is perfect for Meetings, Training Classes, Birthdays, Reunions, Weddings, or Showers. Thank you the more then 110 people that attended our Veteran Fundraiser and the people that bought 50/50 tickets. First the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #2356 and the various businesses and people that donated door prizes and other donations and all of the people that put in their time and effort to make this event a success.
