Full-Time Auto and Light Truck Technician wanted in Hillpoint WI. We are a full-service automotive repair shop committed to delivering top-quality service to our customers. Our facility is equipped with the latest technology, and we pride ourselves on providing comprehensive auto and light truck repair and maintenance services. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto and Light Truck Technician to join our team. The Auto and Light Truck Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on a variety of vehicles, including computer-controlled and hybrid systems. This position requires expertise in troubleshooting complex automotive issues and utilizing advanced diagnostic tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electronic systems and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on auto and light trucks, with a focus on computer-controlled systems. - Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify vehicle issues. - Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks. - Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, drive belts, water pumps, and electronic systems. - Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends. - Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors to ensure customer satisfaction. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations. - Document services and repairs accurately and promptly. - Perform test drives and inspections to ensure vehicles are repaired to the highest standard.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus. - ASE certification or equivalent experience is preferred. - Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing modern computer-controlled vehicles. - Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. - Experience with hybrid vehicles is a plus. - Ability to use diagnostic software and tools effectively. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
