Today was WILD! 🚨
We got an emergency call about “something smoking” from the right rear wheel. Another motorist flagged our customer down, and they pulled off the interstate to give us a call.
Come to find out… a dry wheel bearing had seized to the spindle! 😳
I jacked up the trailer and the hub literally fell into my lap! A few more miles—or even one nasty pothole—and that wheel could have come off, causing serious damage to someone on the highway.
This is exactly why it’s so important to check and pack your bearings yearly or after any long trip.
Luckily, we tracked down the right axle (two hour round trip to get it!), swapped it out, and got our Ohio customers back on the road so they can enjoy their kid-free weekend.
✅ Moral of the story: Don’t skip your bearing checks—your safety depends on it!
