"My experience with Tully’s was amazing! I live in Gastonia, about 70 miles from Tully’s. I found a 2011 GMC Duramax on AutoTrader that was located at a dealership in Taylorsville, not far from Tully’s. When I went online to try to find a mechanic to do a pre-purchase inspection on the truck, Tully’s rose to the top of my choices because of the positive reviews. Let me say that by the time we took possession of the truck three weeks later, I was VERY thankful we had chosen them to do the work.

The pre-purchase inspection was very detailed. It was followed by a phone call from Keenan to make sure that I understood everything in the inspection breakdown that he sent me. It included photos and explanations of everything! What ended up happening is that he discovered the reason that the A/C in the truck wasn’t working. The dealer agreed to pay for the cost of the A/C repair, and I had Tully’s do two additional repairs for me at the same time. He re-routed a transmission cooler line and did some rust-treatment on the frame and underneath the truck. Well, the A/C repair ended up being more than what Tully’s thought due to something that he discovered once he started working on it. Things got complicated with the dealer, but Tully’s remained great through the whole process.

Last part of this is where the customer service comes into play: I received a follow up phone call from Keenan four days later. He wanted to make sure everything was going well with the truck and make sure that I was happy with everything. I wasn’t able to answer the phone, but he followed up with a text as well. This was another example of how he keeps the customer in mind during and after the repairs. If I lived in Taylorsville or the surrounding area, I can tell you that Tully’s would be my #1 choice for service on my vehicles.

(P.S. We haven’t ruled out having them do some of the more expensive repairs/upgrades that the truck will need due to the age & mileage. Even though it is over an hour away, we are considering it. That’s how impressed we were.)"

This is what is causing it!

The rocker arms under the camshafts fail, and grind down the camshafts. It's best to catch it early to prevent catastrophic damage!
