We are getting reports that sections of Yankee Springs Road are getting seal coated, with tar and loose stones.

You might want to avoid that route on your way to DeutscheMarques Saturday morning!

We got a message from someone who recently purchased a 1987 VW Cabriolet that had been in storage since the fall of 2005. He asked if the car was worthy of being in the show. Here’s what we said:

BRING IT! For a few reasons.

First of all, DeutscheMarques LOVES Volkswagens. It’s part of what has made us America’s Largest All-German Car Show. Other shows may have more German cars, but you won’t find any VW’s. We love the variety they represent.

Also, this year, Volkswagen is our featured marque. Our poster car is a beautiful, 1974 fully restored Karmann Ghia.

Also, cabriolet’s are cool!

Finallly also, our motto is “Every German car is a show car.”

So if you have any delusions of your car not being “worthy” of being in a car show, you’re WRONG!

See you Saturday. Gate opens at 8:00 AM.

8am - Gate opens

9am – Show Starts DM Merchandise Table Opens

10:45am – Call for Judges

11:15am - Judge Meeting

11:30 – Judging Begins

12:30 – Judging Ends and DM Merchandise Table Closes

1:30 – Awards

2:30 - Family Picture and Show End

Registration for America’s largest all-German car show is now open.

Click the link and scroll down to where it says “Register Your Vehicle,” click the “Learn More” button and select “Vehicle Registration.” This provides entry in the show for your vehicle, driver and one passenger.
