Jimmy Doughty was a good deer hunter and a really good taxidermist.....this was a deer he took years ago in the Upper Bottom with a muzzle loader....he was a coffee drinker that hung around The Station for a long time....when I started the Deer Tournament, he told me one day that he would offer a prize of $100 off of a shoulder mount for the tournament winner....back in the day he mounted two deer and three fish for me and did an excellent job...Jimmy was a really good guy....

Sorry to hear about the passing of James Black....over the years, James spent many hours on the corner when I had The Station....he was a walking library of information about Hickman and Fulton County....you could ask James about a specific person from the past and he knew where they lived and their family....he was knowledgeable about old businesses and always had really good stories to tell....I always enjoyed talking with him.....James was 91 years old....I took this photo when we had a reunion a few years ago.....since this photo, James, Buzz and Robert Lewis have now passed....

Me and Uncle Woody sitting on the bench...there is no telling what the conversation was....he was probably telling me about the time the bear grabbed him in the Upper Bottom...or maybe the time he coughed and his suppository flew across the room and broke the mirror.....there is no telling, but it was always interesting....

Sorry to hear about the passing of Tony Butler. He was a really good guy. Glad I got to talk with him recently. Butler was at The Station alot back in the day, and had many friends there. He was also the winner of one of my Deer Tournaments. I think this picture I took was when he did win the money. Thoughts and prayers for Shane and Laken.
