We will be off the rest of this week for an out of state training event!

Just some of us went last year and learned so much about modern vehicle electrical systems, diagnostics techniques, and equipment that we decided to take the whole team this year.

This is actually fairly common on the Ford 6.0 Powerstroke engine...

The lifter needles come out of the lifter and make it all the way into the low pressure oil pump and get stuck in the pump and pressure relief. Pieces can also make their way from the pump to the rest of the engine. Once it gets to that point, engine rebuild or replacement is necessary to fix it.

This is what a bad shock absorber looks like! This one wasn't doing anything at all and left the car feeling pretty insecure in the rear when you hit a bump.

This is why we tell people to be careful of aftermarket warranty companies...

Contracts are typically offered at vehicle purchase ranging typically from $2500-5000, and normally built into the vehicle payment.

There is a lot of fine print, and they are pretty good in general about denying claims, or only paying part of them. In this case, they denied both, even though both failed parts were "covered" in the customer contract.

With all this crazy smoke in the air, it might be a good time to replace your cabin air filter with a HEPA or activated charcoal filter!

Most modern vehicles use a filter to clean the air you breathe inside the vehicle. It is filtered through the HVAC vents on both AC and heat settings.

HEPA or activated charcoal filters are available to remove small particles and allergens from the air as well.

Contact us if you would like one replaced, it's a fast job on most vehicles!
