I am reaching out to Hereford businesses and Hereford residents. We all know that HISD bond elections are underway. I will be voting against the bond. This bond of $150 million dollars plus interest will affect us all so much. The tax burden will hit our businesses and our property taxes in a huge way for 30 years plus. I don't disagree that something must be done with our high school. I just believe we better do some better research and come together as business owners and concerned tax paying citizens and make sure that we build on a budget or renovate what we have and make due until we see what the economy here in Hereford is going to do. We all know our water situation in Deaf Smith County is huge issue and without water Hereford will become a ghost town. Cattle and Farming drive this town and without water we can have neither. Please stand up and vote NO. Again i urge you to go vote, your vote matters and we have to stand up for our future.
Estoy contactando a los negocios y a los residentes de Hereford. Todos sabemos que las elecciones del bono del HISD están en marcha. Yo votaré en contra del bono. Este bono de 150 millones de dólares más intereses nos afectará a todos enormemente. La carga fiscal impactará a nuestros negocios y a nuestros impuestos sobre la propiedad de una manera muy significativa durante más de 30 años. No estoy en desacuerdo con que se debe hacer algo con nuestra escuela secundaria. Simplemente creo que debemos hacer una mejor investigación y unirnos como propietarios de negocios y ciudadanos contribuyentes preocupados, y asegurarnos de construir con un presupuesto o renovar lo que tenemos y arreglárnoslas hasta ver qué va a hacer la economía aquí en Hereford. Todos sabemos que nuestra situación del agua en el condado de Deaf Smith es un problema enorme, y sin agua Hereford se convertirá en un pueblo fantasma. El ganado y la agricultura impulsan esta ciudad, y sin agua no podemos tener ninguno de los dos. Por favor, levántense y voten no.
