The Truth About Chasing “Happy”
Sometimes people think “happy” is a finish line you cross. But in this business, it’s more like a mirage. You chase it, you reach for it—then the phone rings, a new deadline pops up, another customer’s dream car needs a miracle. And you answer, every time, no matter the hour or what’s already on your plate.
We take on more than we should, more than is healthy, because making customers happy is what we do. We’ll bend over backwards, work late, skip breaks, and pour extra hours into every build—no matter the cost to ourselves or the shop. It’s not just about cars. It’s about people and promises.
But the truth is, sometimes the weight gets heavy. Juggling projects, meeting deadlines, trying to be present for family, and still finding a moment to breathe—it wears thin on the soul. There are days the pressure is crushing, and “happy” feels a million miles away.
Still, we keep going. Because at the end of the day, seeing a customer’s face light up when they see their dream car—that’s a kind of happiness that can’t be bought. We’re not chasing easy wins. We’re building relationships, one project, one late-night phone call at a time.
If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes, this is it: real people, real struggles, real dedication. We do it for the love of the craft and the people who trust us with their dreams—even when it costs us more than anyone sees.
