Alright, since this deranged do**us is publicly crucifying us on the internet, I feel as though I should bring some clarity with the actual truth instead of some made up crap.
We were called to remove this truck from a property on Spartanburg Highway on February 7th by the owner of the property. Neil had the truck run through the sheriffs office to make sure it wasn’t stolen before he had us remove it. That is protocol and normal procedure.
When we picked it up, it had no batteries and hardly any brakes. I. February 21st, Mr. Levi called us for the first time and we spoke to him, there were no messages left and waiting on return calls, that is a lie.
Mr. Levi told us he wanted to come get the truck and we told him the bill was $945 for the tow and the storage fees for the 14 days, that again is standard procedure. Mr. Levi immediately became disrespectful and was anything but the upstanding Christian he claims to be. We are willing to work with anyone on pricing and situations, but once that mouth starts running profusely, everything is by the book.
At this point I told Mr. Levi that he would have to bring the money and proof of ownership to which he said he had the title but it wasn’t in his name, that he had only signed the back of it. More mouthing off proceeded to come and I told him these were the rules. At that point Mr. Levi told me I could just have the truck that he didn’t want it any way, then called me and I quote, a “gay a** fag” and hung up on me.
I called him back and told him we got disconnected somehow after he called me what he called me and he said he hung up on me. I told him before he hung up again, he needed to understand that the only communication I would accept from him was to pick up his truck and he wasn’t welcome here otherwise.
Fast forward another week, we are installing another paint booth and needed to move some drywall from the front building to the back building. I told one of my guys to get that truck running and use it to move the sheet rock since Mr. Levi said he had no intentions of coming to get it.
Out of nowhere he shows up and accuses us of “stealing” his truck from him. One of my guys told him repeatedly to come up front and talk to one of us directly and he refused.
At this point, I called the cops and they came out. I called Mr. Levi and told him to come tell his story to the cops and if we had in fact done something wrong, we would fix it right then and there. Mr. levi told me he would just go to the magistrates office.
At this point, Mr. Levi then told me he in fact didn’t have the title after all that instead, Neil had removed it from the glove box… so another lie.
Mr. Levi also told us the truck was only on the property we removed it from for two weeks when in fact, I know someone who went to look at it to buy it over a month ago for $3000 and it didn’t have any batteries in it then so he couldn’t start it.
Lie after lie after lie. Mr. Levi is not the victim here, believe me. Any questions will gladly be answered as we haven’t done anything wrong.
Being in the towing business is tough because no one loves getting their stuff towed and no one wants to own up when they’ve screwed up.
