A motorcycleโs front brake provides roughly 70โ90% of your stopping power, depending on the bike and conditions.
Because of that, there are a lot of interesting myths around it:
๐๏ธ โUsing the front brake will make you crash.โ
๐๏ธ โNever touch the front brake on gravel or dirt.โ
๐๏ธ โItโs too dangerous in an emergency stop.โ
But the reality is the front brake is one of the most important tools you have as a rider.
Like Spiderman's Uncle Ben said: with great power comes great responsibility.
Good braking isnโt about grabbing a handful of front brake in a panic and hoping for the best. Itโs about practicing smooth, progressive braking and learning how your front and rear brakes work together.
