The Fox is back 👀

After some previous work with us, this Foxbody is back with its new motor and ready for the next phase a custom stainless exhaust, built by the expert pipe layer himself, Jeff. 🔥

In our latest YouTube video, Corey explains the fiberglass process behind this classic Corvette build. We’re repairing years of damage, reshaping the fenders to clear the new wider tires and creating custom panels for a clean, shaved engine bay.

And that’s only part of the fiberglass work happening from the taillights to the front grille.

Watch the full video on our YouTube channel to see how it’s done, then subscribe and follow along as we continue transforming this Corvette!

Measure twice, cut once from Prep to Process.

Jeff is building a fully custom exhaust for this classic Nissan 240SX, test-fitting and measuring each section before welding everything together into one clean, purpose-built system.

Quality fabrication designed specifically for the car.

Whether you have a drift car, a C10, or something in between, if your project needs a custom exhaust, give us a call!

Making progress on this classic Nissan 240SX, and yes, fellow Gen Xers, the fact that a car you remember tooling around your high school parking lot is now considered a classic may sting a little. 😂

The rear-wheel-drive 240SX has become legendary in drift culture thanks to its lightweight, balanced chassis and seemingly endless potential. This one came to us already “LS swapped”... sorta.

Before the engine could go back into the car, we had to repair damage to the block caused during the previous installation. When an engine and transmission don’t slide together correctly, forcing them together with the bellhousing bolts can turn a small alignment problem into a cracked block and a much larger repair bill.

With the block repaired, the LS is now back in the engine bay and the build is moving forward.

Mike is taking care of the electrical system, including rewiring the car and installing Haltech fuel management. Coincidentally, the Haltech harness fits this LS-swapped import platform almost perfectly. It’s almost like the Aussies enjoy stuffing V8s into imports just as much as Americans do. 😉

Underneath the car, Jeff is putting together a fully custom exhaust system built specifically for this combination. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but this 240SX is finally on its way to becoming the properly sorted LS-swapped build our client wanted.

If your garage build has grown a little further "beyond" your original plans than you expected, there’s no shame in tapping out and calling in the professionals. Infinite Fab Works can help diagnose what went wrong, correct existing work and get your project moving in the right direction again with your supplied parts.

After diagnosing the Chevelle’s overheating problems, Mike rebuilt and optimized the cooling system with a setup better suited for its LS engine.

The previous thin, single-pass radiator used one fan and had the inlet on the wrong side. That required a longer crossover hose with extra bends, creating more opportunities for the hose to sag, kink, trap air and restrict coolant flow.

We replaced it with smooth hoses cut to the proper length and installed a thicker dual-pass radiator from Griffin Radiators. A dual-pass design routes the coolant across the radiator core twice, giving the system more opportunity to transfer heat before the coolant returns to the engine.

Mike also explains why radiator thickness matters and why two fans are better than one. Dual fans pull air across more of the radiator’s surface and provide stronger, more even airflow at low speeds and while idling. That’s especially important when you’re trying to keep an LS cool while sitting in Nashville traffic.

Finally, we added a transmission fluid cooler. It’s something we install on nearly every build because heat kills performance and parts. Whether it’s a race built machine like the TrackHoe or a show car that only sees the road occasionally, more cooling capacity means better protection for the components that matter.

Does your classic, modified or race car need a health check? As summer winds down and before winter sets in, now is the perfect time to diagnose those gremlins and get your build running cooler, stronger and more reliably.

Your wife can be hot, but your engine shouldn’t be. 😂

Mike is breaking down four possible reasons this LS-swapped Chevelle and maybe even your own car keep overheating

1️⃣ Straight water
Without proper coolant or an additive like WaterWetter, rust can build up and clog the radiator’s tiny internal passages, restricting coolant flow.

2️⃣ Oil in the coolant
Oil and coolant are a toxic relationship. Even a tiny leak can contaminate the cooling system, reduce heat transfer and keep it from doing its job.

3️⃣ The wrong hoses
Excessively long crossover hoses make coolant travel farther than necessary. Corrugated hoses can also seal poorly and start leaking with the slightest movement.

4️⃣ Not enough radiator or airflow
When the car isn’t moving, the fans are doing all the work. An undersized radiator, small shroud or inadequate fan setup can leave the engine sitting there cooking.

Stay tuned for the next video to see how we fixed these problems and chose the proper Griffin radiator for this LS.

This Chevelle came to us with a few issues that needed more than just a quick glance. We’ve been hunting down the little things that can turn into BIG problems down the road. This includes improper hose style and length, an incorrect radiator and radiator sizing and brake line issues; just to name a few things on the punch list.

Stay tuned for more from Mike as he breaks down why details like proper hose length and style, the correct fluids, radiator sizing, and cooling system setup all play a major role in keeping your engine operating the way it should.

Because when Tennessee temperatures start soaring like they have been, the last thing you want is to find yourself overheating in the middle of a parade line. 🥵

Whether you just bought a “new-to-you” classic or your current car could use a complete reliability once-over, let us find the problems before they leave you stranded.
