Today marks one year since I got the news that you were never coming home. It was one of the hardest days I’ve ever lived through and I’m honestly not sure how I made it through it.
People say time heals all wounds, they say you stop missing people you’ve lost. But they’re wrong.
Days go by and I’ve learned how to live without you but it’s not one bit easier today than it was a year ago. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you, not a footstep falls in my house without me turning hoping to see you. I still look for you to be walking through the door when it opens in the afternoon. You were more than my brother, you were my oldest kid and not a day will go by that I don’t miss you.

Ive been trying to write this for a few days now but the words wouldn’t really come out. Richard and Casey were two of the greatest people you’d ever have the pleasure of meeting. From the very first time I met them they treated me and my kids like family. They were always there for everyone, no one went without when they were around. No one felt left out, they made sure of it. They were the most welcoming people you could ask for. Churd was also one of the biggest influences of why I became close with the club. He always gave me s**t about putting a patch on my back, told me every time he saw me that my brothers were waiting for me, that he was waiting for me. He was a brother through and through and you never had to wonder where you stood with him. If you pi**ed him off he’d tell you, if you were being a du***ss he’d tell you that too but you always knew he had your back.

You guys were taken too soon, there was so much life left for you to live, so much more to do but you touched so many lives while you were here that your memories will forever live on in all of us. I love you guys, and I miss you already.

For the month of May with all service appointments at Mad Mike’s Customs you can get your tires filled with sailboat fuel at no additional charge. You must request this at time of service or there will be additional charges to exchange the existing air in your tires.
NOTE: Sail boat fuel not recommended for use in non pneumatic tires.
