Heyyy its been a while but all is healthy in the Kave ..

just like Father Son team getting it done with a Kave inspired 2.2 setup Fig8 style

as in 2024 season the Tyson team had a complete stock 2.2 and it wasn't enough but through word of mouth Ken gave me a call and we made a deal and last winter built a fresh high compression 2.2 setup with simple but very efficient. then spring 2025 took it to a dyno and thru an automatic transmission i believe put down 165whp

fast forward a bit Kenny thru first 4 races I believe he was pushing bumper of last year's track champion and just couldn't get by because of transmission shifting struggles but had enough power todo it even with that

soo a few days ago I received multiple messages from Ken and Kenny that Kenny put er on the dance floor for his 1ST WIN!! AWESOME AWESOME !! yes yes them are the feelings of "is it worth the money spent" the answer is YES!! when you do the right things and put yourself in the right places yes it does happen!

CONGRATS KENNY!!

PS .. a back up spare engine is in progress currently for a 2nd car 😳😳😳

Ooo we are outside the KAVE assembling another monster BIG DOLLA $$$ head .. this time a super lowww mile L61 head with LSJ intake valves ferrea undercut stem exaust valves and the all BLING BLING ferrea dual spring setup ..

For now back to work dam it LOLOL !!

Heyyy out in the Kave again (again just some life struggles) AND working a FULL time and a PART time 2nd job the days are long and run into each other

Long story but finally after being away from my HOUSE for 4 months the EX GF is OUT and I can get back to "normal" but and doing things i like todo without being questioned is super quiet in my ear .. well anyway enough of my story onto bigger and MORE fun topics!!

Just finishing up the hand porting process in the Kave, yep not much to "show" but an update that I'm HERE and ready to make videos and pics of things you want to see, don't be scared to send message I'm here to chat and have ALOT of knowledge

but a quick lunch and then off to that 2nd job that we all dread ahhhh grrr

Heyyy Heyyy .. O MAN it's been a while!! I'm currently pulling thru 6 months of life struggles and just shaking my head to get back to what I love doing, yep working on FUN stuff!! well here are pics from November that just slipped thru the cracks!!

86.25mm
12:1 compression
20mm pin. uses 2.4 crank . uses 2.2 rods

calculates to 2.29L

still needs a 6+1 trigger wheel to use with J car computer

needs a engine machine shop hone job because they are .010 oversized

set of 4 .. $950

will have a short block in testing for 2025 season !!

soooo whats in a name? well for me is the drive to be "that guy" the "go to" the guy that makes you "better" that one guy you love to hate but hate to love, that's me Mr Kryptonite 😀

what do i mean .. of all sports I've played hockey since i was 10 and even the game of life we all want to be good at something yea or am I wrong? well Mr Kryptonite has been in the Kave for many many many years not hiding but learning life skills

sooo how does that relate to ecotec engines you ask? well it all started July 8th 2004 when I bought my FIRST new car yup you guessed it a 2004 Red 5sp Cavalier 2.2 Ecotec (currently in MINT body condition in dad's garage - non running long story)
sooo I went to work modifications for drag racing anyway fast forward 3 years later with a modified 2.2L i was leading the J Body dot org 1/4 mile ET and MPH chart within our club, kinda full circle now 20 years later I'm back working on engines that should propel 2 cars as of now to hold/secure track championships for 2025 even tho race season schedules is not even out yet

sooo no tech tips just little more background knowledge from the Kave

sooooo with the uptick of inquiries and quotes going out your going to get some jobs and lose some jobs (I have a friend that can do it cleaper) and others saying i want the best you can build but I say $10,000 and they say no thanks or ghost me. No worries I rather do fewer jobs but retain customer base for a lifetime - well with that out of the way .. .. ..
. .. .. back to more EXCITING news!! this here is the West Virgina BEAST! he (unnamed as of now) elected to go with the cylinder support setup with the true to be famous 13:1 compression 88mm bore pistons/eagle rod combo!! also he elected to go with ZZP girdle bolts!

back to the Kave my pot is still overflowing HEHEHEhehe
