LS guys have tried EVERYTHING over the years, but this might be one of the craziest experiments yet!

The Nivlac57 YouTube channel is building a backwards LS hot V setup using GM production parts, and honestly, it’s pure mad scientist energy.
Instead of the intake sitting in the valley and exhaust exiting the sides like a normal LS:
💥 Exhaust exits THROUGH THE CENTER
💥 Intake ports move to the outside
💥 Eight primary tubes merge into a true 8-into-1 collector
And here’s the wild part: The whole thing works because Gen 5 LT heads reversed the valve order compared to Gen 4 LS heads. Bolt LT heads onto an LS block while keeping the original camshaft, and suddenly, the intake ports become exhaust ports.
The builder fully admits this isn’t some perfect engineering solution. Cooling challenges, valve material limitations, and airflow compromises are all part of the gamble. But the goal isn’t just power. It’s packaging, turbo efficiency, and chasing what could become an absolutely INSANE exhaust note.
