Our bumper pull Polar King Mobile Units have been very popular during this heat! Our rentals book quickly and over the 4th of July weekend, Dave gave up his holiday weekend to deliver Big Daddy Bagels their brand new Polar King Unit to Boulder, CO! Now that's what I call service!

This week's safety meeting focused on reminding our mechanics to take care of themselves in this heat we've had. Drink lots of water, take your breaks and cool off. Oh, and breakfast burritos, we can't forget the breakfast burritos. Those are important too!

Take care of yourselves in the heat and our thoughts are with all of those affected by the Horse Gulch Fire. Hoping containment comes soon!

Dave had some leftover Georgia Peaches so I made a Peach Cobbler for all of us to share at the office. I told my husband he had to wait until after I took it to work and if there was some left he could have some. Opened the foil and found he had staked a claim!

While doing some office cleaning yesterday I moved the mats on the front counter. While I knew that the countertop underneath was custom made here in our shop I hadn't gotten the full effect of how awesome this really is! I think we may need to customize our shop a little more, what do you guys think?

Monday Fun Fact:
The first ever semi truck was invented by Alexander Winton of Cleveland, OH in 1898. The idea came about because the Winton Motor Carriage Company wanted to deliver their first shipment of cars without putting wear and tear on the new cars by driving them. While our big rigs look a lot different today, they are still fundamentally used for the same purpose. Delivering necessary items all across the country.

We want to welcome Audrey Rogge to our Helena DTL Mechanic team. Audrey is a local gal that had an opportunity to experience working on diesel trucks in high school through a job share program that allows High School students to shadow their chosen potential career path and fell in love with it. Her fascination with how mechanical things work drove her to enroll in Helena College’s diesel tech program, and she is currently a first-year student. Audrey joined the DTL team at the beginning of April and has already jumped in and shown that she has what it takes to succeed in the wonderful world of diesel repair. Welcome, Audrey!
