Hey just wanted to share a project I'm working on. This is a 2-piece performance center support bearing carrier that clamps around the bearing. If you follow any of the Audi, BMW, or Saab communities I'm sure you've seen these before. Have gotten a number of requests to cover Volvo models, so here we are.

There are a number of benefits of them. The most obvious is they install without having to remove or disassemble the driveshaft. They also provide a modest increase in drivetrain response by maintaining alignment of the driveshaft under load, making the driveshaft act like a 1-piece instead of buckling in the middle and putting slack in the driveline. Last but not least, they don't sag like the flimsy stock rubber does, so they restore and maintain alignment of the driveshaft for the life of the car, keeping unnecessary loads off the joints. In cases where the driveshaft has sagged quite badly, this can eliminate high speed or high load vibrations by removing angles from the CV joints.

This particular one is for the P2 platform AWD models (S60/S80/V70/XC70/XC90).

First photo below is the P2 version ready for test fit. Second photo is the most similar one we make, funny enough for the front driveshaft on the R35 GTR. Last 2 photos show how the split housing design and the shoulder bolt/damper bushing design that ensures no NVH makes it to the cabin.

How many of you just saw an old Green car in my earlier post?

Sometimes in life, we are drawn to something's, not even knowing what the experience was at the time. But knowing it was special. I had hoped today would be one of those days.

Today was one of those days in a strange alternative way. Something about this very interesting car in a sea of exotic cars stood out. My mind instantly went back to those great road race movies and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It turned out there was a reason I took so many photos of the big green Bentley. Today was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see this car in the wild being driven and not in a museum.
