Roy Rogers passed away on this day in 1998. He was 86 years old. 💔

Roy's passing came following a storied career. He was an actor, singer, rodeo performer, and TV host who rightfully earned his nickname as "The King of the Cowboys."

When it comes to Western stars, Roy is one of the most recognizable. During his heyday, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't know him, his wife, Dale Evans, or his trusty horse, Trigger.
