Taking just a few minutes a couple of times a month to wipe down your boat and apply a quick spray wax is your best defense against permanent damage. Lake water is packed with minerals. When left to dry in the hot sun, these minerals chemically bond and etch into your boat’s gelcoat. Untreated water spots can't just be "wiped away"—they eventually require aggressive mechanical correction like machine buffing or light wet-sanding. Preventative maintenance is everything!
