Reminder that our Plot Day is today. Come join us for some great information, food , and conversation! The meeting will begin at 5 pm, with a steak supper to follow. Bring the whole family! The Rolling Cone will be here serving up dessert from 5 to 7! If you just want to come for the ice cream, that's ok too! We will also have a flower station, with flowers from Rhonda Larson, to build your own bouquet! Don't be shy! We would love to see you all!

What a kind, generous man he was! We will miss your smiling face!! ❤️❤️

It is with great sadness that one of our own was welcomed with wide, warm, open arms into the loving arms of Jesus. To say we are sad is an understatement. ❤️

Rod touched the lives of so many, and all of us at the Lake Norden Country Store had our own special connection with him. Some had the privilege of knowing him for a long time, while others had a shorter time getting to know him. But I think it’s safe to say that, overall, we all thought of Rod as our grandpa. ❤️

He wasn’t just someone who sat at the register (even though he really did like his spot there 😉), made sure the coffee was hot, tightened handles, hung new fixtures, or fixed the air compressor. He was so much more than that.

Rod was a warm, kind, bright, smiling soul that everyone looked forward to seeing when they walked through those front doors.

With Rod, you never quite knew what you were going to get. Some mornings he’d walk in with his shirt on inside out, maybe even forget his teeth at home 😂, throw out a joke, or sit down and tell us one of his many stories. And those are the little things we will miss the most.

We all have so many different memories with Rod from his time at the C-Store, and I know each of us will treasure those memories forever. The Lake Norden Country Store will always be one place in town where Rod will never be forgotten. ❤️

So tomorrow morning, when you have your morning coffee, raise your cup to Rod. ☕️ I know he would enjoy that.

Rod, we will all miss you more than words can say. Thank you for the laughs, the stories, the smiles, and for simply being you.

May you be at peace in the loving arms of Jesus. Until we meet again. ❤️🙏🏼

Please join us for the HCFC Plot Day that will be held on Monday, August 31st at 5pm at the Main Seed Shed in Hayti. The meeting will start at 5pm. Everyone is invited to join in enjoying some ice cream from the Rolling Cone ice cream truck, especially the children and for all the wonderful women out there, stop and make yourself a beautiful bouquet of flowers with flowers from Rhonda Larson! For our farmers, get your name into the hat for some nice giveaways!

The probe shack at our Hayti location is now up and running. You will pull up in the front of the building. There is a stop light attached to the electrical shed for stopping and going. Thank you all for your understanding during this transition.
