06 Duramax doing dirty-max things!!!
The factory flex plate/stamped steel just isn't strong enough to handle the torque.

Paul, a good friend/customer of mine and also a local volunteer firefighter, brought in his clean 1999 F350 7.3 for a much-needed lighting upgrade. We kicked those old weak 2-piece headlights to the curb and swapped in the 05-07 style housings with all LED lighting from front to back.

Now this old 7.3 has the look AND the visibility to match. The difference at night is absolutely insane compared to the factory setup. Clean, aggressive, and built the way an old-school Ford should be. Those stock lights just weren’t cutting it for my outlaw diesel brother anymore. We added some other odds and ends but is right where it needs to be now.

Customer wanted to ditch the factory killer grid heater setup before the infamous nut decided to take a trip through the engine. Installed the Banks grid heater system to eliminate the failure point and keep this Cummins alive and breathing the way it should. One less weak link under the hood.

2nd Gen Cummins in the shop

Customer was having to recharge the A/C every so often — not anymore.

Added dye to the system and tracked it down to a leaking high-side Schrader valve. Found the issue, fixed it, and confirmed no other leaks.

Cold A/C and back on the road where it belongs. ❄️

ANOTHER ONE SAVED

This 2005 Kodiak Duramax LLY rolled into the shop running rough and dumping engine oil straight through the exhaust. Not a good day…

After digging into it, the turbo wasn’t the issue. The real problem? A failed oil ring on cylinder #4, pushing oil through the intake system and contaminating the intercooler, piping, and turbo.

No shortcuts here — engine came out and was fully replaced to get this truck back to work the right way and cleaned thoroughly

Now she’s back together, running strong, and ready to haul whatever gets thrown at it. 💪🔥

Customer came in with a shifter assembly that wasn’t operating correctly. After disassembly, we found the bushings had completely spit out and one of the hold-down brackets was broken, which caused the issue.
We’ll be replacing the shift tube and plunger to correct the problem.
Pro Tip: Always use Loctite on the mounting hardware when installing these. If you don’t, the bolts will eventually loosen up and cause problems like this.
