We get asked all the time “do your kids wake surfing?”

Two of them took to wake surfing pretty naturally… but our youngest? He’s always been our cautious, timid one when it comes to trying it.

(Which is shocking if you know him!)

Jax has been snowboarding on Dad’s board at ONE, riding his own board at TWO, and continues to fly down the mountain fearlessly, giving us a few new gray hairs every winter.

He’s been on the boat his entire life…even before he was born, when he was wake surfing in my belly. 🤰🏼But actually getting behind the boat himself? That was a different story.

This summer, at five years old (now officially six!), he decided he was ready to try. And watching him slowly build confidence, push through the fear, and make progress has been one of the sweetest things to watch.

One of my absolute favorite parts of owning a wake surf charter is coaching kids. Not just teaching them a new sport, but encouraging them to try something that feels scary, helping them realize they’re capable, and watching that confidence grow. And that’s exactly why I love having our regulars come back year after year. We get to watch them grow, see their confidence build, and celebrate the progress they make. 💯

Boating and water sports have become such a special part of our family summers, and we love that MB Boats shares that same passion for creating unforgettable family memories on the water. So many of our favorite moments happen behind this boat, and we’re grateful for the adventures, confidence-building, and quality time it continues to bring our family and so many other families 🤙🏼🌊🏄🏼‍♀️🏄🏼‍♂️

Over the last three years, we’ve gotten to know their employees, watched their kids grow up, and feel so fortunate that we get to spend afternoons like this with them.

We discovered a new band with this session. (I’m actually kind of embarrassed I didn’t know them!)

They finished a show in Bend, on the way to Montana pit stopping in CDA and of course did some wake surfing 🌊🏄🏼‍♀️🏄🏼‍♂️

So fun having some of the crew from Goose on the boat. Nice meeting all of you!

A pretty cool full-circle moment. ✨

Our friends from back home came to visit Idaho with their kids, his girlfriend, and sis, who’s getting ready to start college. (🤯) Their son grew up with our son, which makes you realize just how fast time goes.

His dad was our son’s soccer coach back in kindergarten, and years later, we had the chance to coach them how to wake surf.

An epic afternoon & evening on Pend Oreille. Calm water, an incredible sunset, and getting to watch these kids grow up along the way. Pretty special.

We proudly surf MB Boats the 25 Alpha B52 😎 this boat is perfect for all levels. We especially love the push it has to build new surfers confidence in dropping the rope. (And they all nailed it!)

She wanted to prove to herself she could wakeboard after 20 years. After chatting with her I said “you bring the wakeboard, and you have to promise me you’ll try wake surfing.”

She’s turning 57 and not only did she get up on her board like riding a bike, she got a taste of wake surfing. She’s amazing. ✨🔥

We specialize in wake surfing, but if you have your own wake board… we will provide a tow.

It’s not just about the wave. 🌊
(Tho she’s pretty and perfect 😍)

It’s that the whole family gets to be part of it.

One person is surfing, everyone else is cheering. The kids get a turn. Mom gets a turn. Dad gets a turn. (👀 the last two pics!) And nobody is left out.

We had the sweetest family visiting from California. Their kids are heading off to school in different states, but they came together in Idaho for a family weekend and made some pretty epic memories on the water. 🥹
