We removed the windshield and brought it back to the shop to completely tear it down.

Some pieces came apart with a little persuasion, some took a lot of persuasion, and a few had gone back to Mother Nature and had to be fabricated from scratch.

Once we got everything apart, we cleaned everything up, repaired what we could, replaced what we couldn’t, and gave it all a fresh start.

We also swapped out all of the old plexiglass for new tempered glass before putting the whole windshield back together and reinstalling it on the boat.

Definitely one of those jobs where the finished product makes it look a whole lot easier than it actually was.

This was a pretty cool set to work on. These belong to Harlem Globetrotter legend Dexter Williams.

And if you’ve got a vehicle that needs wheels done, you don’t necessarily have to pull them off and bring them to us. Bring us the whole vehicle.

We can put your vehicle on our lift, pull the wheels, dismount the tires, blast and powder coat them, then mount, balance and put everything back on the vehicle for you.

Drop it off in the morning, pick it up after work, and you’re done.

Here’s a little look at our process on a Hi-Lift Jack Company

We use this same process for just about everything that comes through the door at Blasting Betty.

This jack came in looking like it had lived a pretty good life. We completely disassembled it, cleaned everything up, media blasted the individual components, and started from bare metal.

From there, everything received an epoxy primer before getting two coats of gloss black and then being reassembled.

The epoxy primer is something I don’t always specifically list when I’m quoting a job. Most of the time, it’s simply built into the price.

I do that because I’m not interested in putting the cheapest possible finish on something just to make it look good when it leaves the shop. I want to give you the longest lasting product I reasonably can.

There’s a lot that goes into a good finish before the final coat ever goes on. The blasting, the prep, the primer, the coating system and even how everything gets handled along the way all matter.

I’m proud of the work that goes into these projects, even when some of those steps aren’t necessarily visible once the job is finished.

I appreciate each and every one of y’all who continues to support Blasting Betty. I genuinely wouldn’t be here without y’all, and I don’t take that for granted.

Imagine an ATV on two wheels.

Yamaha’s 1980s BW200 Big Wheel was built to roam sand, mud, and snow.

Now in Anodized Red and Spanish Gold, it looks like it rolled straight out of a 1986 Yamaha brochure… if Yamaha had a powder coater back then.
