Education, Experience, Certificates & Licenses
High school student or graduated with diploma or general education degree (GED) and
5-8 years of automotive work related experience with basic mechanical systems knowledge.
Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License
State Inspection License
Emission Inspection License
ASE Certifications: Minimum 1 Current ASE Certification (J’s Auto Service is a ASE Blue Seal Shop)
Goals to Prepare For A4,A5,A6 Additional ASE Certifications.
Attend Additional Training to Stay Up to Date with Automotive Industry Advancements
Complete On-Line Training Courses Supplied. Clarify Hours of Training Each Year Associated With Position
Strive To Continually Improve Mechanical Skill Levels

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Possess Working Knowledge of Specific Automotive Systems to be Serviced.
Write Service Specific Correspondence by way of a (TWS) Technical Work Sheet.
Specific Math Skills to Support Procedures Performed with Mechanical Tasks.
Interpret and Process Varying Degrees of Automotive Systems, Symptoms, and Technical Information.
Apply Automotive System Knowledge and Understanding to Perform Standard Automotive Testing SOP’s
Assist Experienced Technicians in Advanced Repairs and Maintenance Services
Possess Hand, Power, and General Tools to Perform Services and Repairs the Position Requires.
Responsible for a Clean Work Area Daily, Surrounding Areas, and General Areas as Needed.
Responsible for Proper Use, Maintenance & Clean Up of All Shop Specialty Tools & Equipment
Attendance/Tardiness Arrive on Time Prepared to Start Work at the Designated Starting Time.
