Recently, Hometown Auto Spa had the absolute honor of detailing a beautiful 1987 Corvette for an incredible man here in our community, Tywoo.
But as we worked on his Corvette and had the opportunity to hear more about his life, we quickly realized this wasn't just another detail.
This car has a story—and so does the man behind the wheel.
Tywoo joined the United States Marine Corps in 1983 and proudly served our country until he was honorably discharged in 1987. 🇺🇸
When he purchased his Corvette, he specifically chose a 1987 model because of what that year meant to him—it was the year he completed his military service.
After leaving the Marines, he went straight into the funeral industry, where he spent years helping families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. During that career, he had the opportunity to be involved in the funeral services for Ronald Goldman. It was just one of the many unique and unforgettable experiences he encountered throughout his career.
Tywoo's dedication to helping others eventually brought him to TK Transportation in 2022. But his experience behind the wheel and teaching others goes back much further.
Tywoo has spent 10 years doing driver's training, helping teach and prepare new drivers for the responsibility that comes with getting behind the wheel. That's a decade of experience helping young drivers learn the skills, confidence, and responsibility they need to safely navigate the road.
This past school year, Tywoo took another big step and left TK Transportation to pursue something of his own—opening his own driver's training franchise with Jungle Driving School.
And we couldn't be more excited to see where this next chapter takes him!

Sitting in his driveway is that 1987 Corvette—a reminder of where one chapter of his life ended and how many incredible chapters have followed.

Sometimes, it's in the story of the person sitting behind the wheel.

It was truly our honor to bring your '87 Corvette back to a little bit of its former glory.
