Job Description: Groundskeeper
Position Title: Groundskeeper / Property Maintenance Specialist
Locations: Regional (Sales lots in Darlington, Hartsville, Sumter, Lake City, and off-site spec
homes in Timmonsville, SC, plus other locations as requested)
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Owners
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain the outdoor appearance and safety of our manufactured home dealerships and off-site properties. In this role, you will ensure our sales lots (including the display homes located on them) and our off-site spec homes in Timmonsville look pristine, manicured, and retail-ready. The ideal candidate has experience working closely around residential structures, takes immense pride in their work, and possesses the necessary truck and trailer setup to transport equipment across our regional territory.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Property Upkeep: Mow, edge, weed-eat, and trim lawns across all sales lots and
designated off-site spec home locations to maintain a sharp, professional look.
⢠Display & Spec Home Care: Keep the immediate perimeters of both lot display homes and off-site spec homes free of weeds and overgrown vegetation, protecting siding and skirting while maximizing curb appeal.
⢠Lot & Site Cleanliness: Regularly inspect and clean dealership sales lots, driveways, and spec home job sitesâremoving trash, leaves, limbs, and hazards.
⢠Equipment Care: Safely operate and perform basic maintenance on company provided tools, including commercial mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
⢠Safe Equipment Transport: Securely load, transport, and unload company
maintenance equipment between various regional locations using your own truck and trailer.
⢠Territory Flexibility: Travel efficiently between established sales lots, spec homes, and additional regional properties as requested by management.
⢠Safety Reporting: Identify and immediately report any property damage, safety
hazards, or vandalism on the homes or grounds to management.
Position Requirements
⢠Experience: Proven experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or property
maintenance, with specific experience working safely around residential structures or manufactured homes.
⢠Vehicle Requirements: Must own and operate a reliable truck and trailer capable of safely transporting commercial lawn care equipment between regional sites.
⢠Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel regularly across our service footprint (Darlington, Hartsville, Sumter, Lake City, Timmonsville, and surrounding areas).
⢠Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for neatness and a commitment to keeping homes and lots looking their absolute best.
⢠Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50lbs, and stand, bend, or walk for extended periods.
⢠Licensing: Valid driverâs license with a clean driving record.
