Central took on a unique and rewarding project this past week. Kinsley Power partnered with Central to help supply Monhegan Island, Maine with power for the upcoming summer season.

The generators were first delivered to Port Clyde, Maine by our industrial carrier, then transported 12 miles offshore aboard The Reliance to reach the island. Once there, the real challenge began moving the generators across a beach and up an unpaved road using one of our GMC 2500 pickup trucks, the only viable access route.

From there, the units were carefully hauled to their final location at the island’s power station at the top of the island.

This project was a great example of problem-solving, teamwork, and determination and a chance to showcase exactly what Central is capable of, no matter the terrain or conditions.
